Overview[]

A Laughing Contest (Un concours de rigolade in French) is a rhyme-in-joke in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It was released in April 1999, and then re-released in 2000.

Mr. Funny has organized a laugh contest. The contestants introduce themselves.

We have Miss Giggles, Mr. Cheerful, Miss Dotty, Miss Naughty, Mr. Wrong, Miss Fun, Mr. Happy, Miss Sunshine, and more.

You'll never know who they are! Mr. Grumble!

Mr. Funny picks up the microphone. "The laugh contest is about to begin!" Are you ready...ready...go!"

Hehehe! No no no! Hehehehe! Hehehe! Hehe! Ouch! Ouch! My stomach! All the contestants gave up... except for Mr. Grumble! He won!

But... what are those two orange things swinging under Mr. Grumble's arms? Mr. Tickle's hands!

Mr. Grumble, you're a cheater!

Beating Happy Birthday, Mr. Quiet! which has ten, this is the ninth rhyme in the Mr. Funny column to feature a large amount of characters, as the limit in this is thirteen, although five are mentioned and three are cameos.
After two years since the events of Issue #17 as a cameo, this is the second time Mr. Grumble is happy, and that was done by Mr. Tickle by getting tickled, making the former the winner of the contest. This is also the second time Mr. Cheerful made a cameo in this Issue, firstly in Little Miss Loud Has Breath.
- Not to mention Mr. Greedy and Little Miss Fun also appear two times in the Mr. Funny section as well.
Appearing twice in this Issue, this is the eleventh time the title character of the section appears in, as this is why it's called I'm Having Fun with Mr. Funny. More funny than that, Mr. Men Little Miss Mini Cinema also has an episode where he and Miss Giggles have a No-Laugh challenge.
