Adam Hargreaves (born 18 June 1963 in Surrey) is an English author and illustrator and the son of Roger Hargreaves. He continues his father's bestselling Mr. Men series of children's books. Hargreaves also served as inspiration for the series.
Biography[]
When he was 7½ years old, he asked his father "What does a tickle look like?", which was one of his most impossible questions, as said in The 50 Years of Mr. Men Show with Matt Lucas. Roger answered the question to create the first book, Mr. Tickle. In 2003, he created 3 new Mr. Men (Mr. Cool, Mr. Rude and Mr. Good) and Little Misses (Little Miss Scary, Little Miss Bad and Little Miss Whoops). In 2010, he published the story Mr. Nobody, which was originally by his now-deceased father. In 2011, he created Little Miss Princess, and, three years later, in 2014, he created Little Miss Hug. In 2016, he created four new characters: Mr. Marvelous, Mr. Adventure, Little Miss Fabulous and Little Miss Sparkle. In 2018, he created Little Miss Inventor, and, three years later, in 2021, he created Mr. Calm and Little Miss Brave. Adam married the lady who he met on his holiday in Australia during the Late-1980's. He has one brother, Giles, born in 1966, and twin sisters, Amelia and Sophie, born in 1970, who inspired Roger to create the Little Miss Twins book.
