(Mr. Stubborn picks up an egg)

Mr. Stubborn: Watch and learn from an expert!

(Mr. Stubborn tosses the first egg into his other hand. Next, Mr. Stubborn picks up a second head and also tosses it into his other hand. Then, Mr. Stubborn tosses both eggs into the mixing bowl uncracked)

Mr. Messy: Uh...aren't you supposed to crack those first?

(Mr. Stubborn crushes the eggs in the bowl)

Mr. Stubborn: Absolutely not! The shell provides crunch! Now, for the baking powder.

(Mr. Stubborn pours in the entire bag of baking powder into the bowl)

Mr. Messy: Woah! That's way too much! Even I know that!

(The batter overflows the bowl)

Mr. Stubborn: Clearly you don't know a thing! Now finish mixing the batter while I get the frosting.

(Mr. Messy tries the batter)

Mr. Messy: Hmm...kind of salty.

Mr. Stubborn: It's supposed to be salty! It's a cake! Add this can of frosting to the batter.

(Mr. Stubborn puts a can of frosting into the batter without opening the can)

Mr. Messy: But...frosting goes on the outside!

Mr. Stubborn: You amateur! Hand me that cake pan!

(Mr. Messy looks through the pan)

Mr. Bump walks offscreen. Mr. Bump is heard pinning something. Mr. Bump runs away from Mr. Grumpy, revealing that Mr. Bump pinned the tail onto Mr. Grumpy. Mr. Grumpy's Birthday Song begins with Mr. Grumpy stomping his feet in anger)

Mr. Grumpy: Oh, crooked cucumbers!

Mr. Nervous: "🎶He don't want a fuss or birthday banners

He don't want some chatty party planners

Save your breath, he's in no mood to hear us sing🎶"

Mr. Grumpy: (speaking) Oh, come on, give me peace, just a bit of quiet! Not all this raucous party riot!

Mr. Nervous: 🎶It's a birthday, yes he knows, but here's the thing

Backup Singers: "🎶Here's the thing🎶"

Mr. Nervous: "🎶He prefers his birthdays grumpy and mashed potatoes lumpy"

He can't bear the "Happy Birthday" blustering

He doesn't care if it's wonky

Put the tail back on the donkey

Save your breath, he's in no mood to hear us sing🎶"

Backup Singers: "🎶La la la la🎶"

Mr. Nervous: "🎶Oh, he don't want a fuss or birthday banners

He don't want some chatty party planners,🎶

(Mr. Grumpy does a forward roll under a second cake just before it falls onto him)

Mr. Grumpy: Save your breath!

(Just as Mr. Grumpy breathes a sigh of relief, a third cake squishes him. Mr. Scatterbrain peeks in from the top of the screen then pulls up the bottom of the screen to change the scene. Mr. Strong is shown blowing up balloons but pops them every time due to breathing in too hard. He tries three times before giving the popped balloons to Little Miss Sunshine)

Miss Sunshine: Thanks for blowing up the balloons Mr. Strong.

Mr. Strong: Oh no problem Miss Sunshine.

(Mr. Strong puts on a party hat and joins Mr. Bump, Little Miss Helpful, Mr. Rude, and Little Miss Calamity. The five are soon joined by Little Miss Sunshine)

Miss Sunshine: Mr. Grumpy should be here any minute! Let's practice shouting "surprise!" Here we go! One...two...three...

Miss Helpful: Surprise!

Miss Sunshine (offscreen): Surprise!

Mr. Bump: Surprise?

Mr. Strong: Surprise.

Miss Calamity: Uh, surprise!

Miss Sunshine: Oh! We can do better than that! Let's try again! One...two...three...

(Mr. Grumpy opens the door and walks into the room)

Mr. Bump, Miss Helpful, Mr. Rude, Miss Sunshine, Mr. Strong, and Miss Calamity: SURPRISE!!

Mr. Grumpy: Aren't you supposed to wait until the guest of honor gets here?

Miss Sunshine: (gasps) "Mr. Grumpy! Surprise!"

(Streamers and confetti fall from the ceiling and party noise makers are heard in the background)

Mr. Grumpy: Yeah, yeah. I get the idea. Is there cake at least?

(Mr. Messy comes out with the cake he and Mr. Stubborn made earlier. Some of it ends up spilling out of the pan as he walks over)

(Little Miss Calamity accidentally throws the present onto Mr. Bump's head)

Mr. Bump: "Ow!"

(Mr. Messy tosses the cake into the air and it ends up falling onto him and Little Miss Calamity. Mr. Grumpy dodges the mess in shock, Little Miss Helpful. Little Miss Sunshine, and Mr. Bump are also shocked, Mr. Rude is mildly amused, and Mr. Strong licks his lips and is probably jealous that Mr. Messy and Little Miss Calamity got buried in the cake)

Miss Calamity: Ooh!

Mr. Messy: "Shazam!" (pops out of the cake)

Mr. Grumpy: Well you might as well cut me a piece while you're in there.

(Little Miss Calamity pulls out a piece of cake with a lit candle on it and Mr. Grumpy blows it out)

(Mr. Tickle's arms cover the screen)

Starting with Mr. Bump playing Pin-the-Tail on the Donkey)

Narrator: And so, another birthday party comes to an end.

(Mr. Scatterbrain is shown trapped in the wrapping paper)

Narrator: And it looks like a good time was had by all.

(Mr. Messy comes out with the cake)

Narrator: So the next time you are invited to a party, make sure you get there on time!

(Little Miss Calamity comes out with a present and slips on the spilled cake causing her to bump into Mr. Messy. This causes Mr. Messy to toss the cake into the air as he and Little Miss Calamity fall to the ground)

(Mr. Grumpy is about to pop another kernel of popcorn into his mouth when the phone rings)

Mr. Grumpy: (groans)

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): I'll stop that goo if it's the last thing I do!

(Mr. Grumpy picks up the phone)

Mr. Grumpy: Hello?

(A split screen forms with Little Miss Chatterbox on the right and Mr. Grumpy on the left)

Miss Chatterbox: Is this Mr. Grumpy?

Mr. Grumpy: Who else would it be?

Miss Chatterbox: Well, I guess it could be just about anyone depending on who I called. (giggles) That's the funny thing about phone numbers.

Mr. Grumpy: What do you want, Miss Chatterbox?

Miss Chatterbox: Well, since it's your birthday today. Happy birthday by the way. Guess I should've said that up top, I thought I would take you to lunch.

Mr. Grumpy: That's very kind, but I'd prefer to spend my birthday alone.

(Little Miss Chatterbox is in disbelief)

Mr. Grumpy: Watching a good movie.

Miss Chatterbox: A movie!? On your birthday!? What fun is that?

Mr. Grumpy: Plenty fun. Now goodbye.

(Mr. Grumpy hangs up the phone and the split screen stops and focuses back on Mr. Grumpy. Mr. Grumpy prepares to enjoy some more popcorn when someone knocks on Mr. Grumpy's door)

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): I'm just a policeman, Victoria!

Mr. Grumpy: Now what?

(Mr. Grumpy walks to the door and opens it. Mr. Scatterbrain is outside holding a monkey. A monkey holding a mop)

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): A policeman

Mr. Scatterbrain: Happy birthday, Mr. Grumpy!

Monkey: (screeches)

Mr. Grumpy: Hello, Mr. Scatterbrain.

Mr. Scatterbrain: I brought you a gift! It's the new Monkey Mop 3000! A mop so simple, a monkey could use it!

Monkey: (chatters)

Mr. Grumpy: I don't need a mop!

Miss Sunshine (offscreen and on the TV): It's got me!

(The monkey tosses the pop away)

Mr. Scatterbrain: Could you use a monkey?

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): Victoria!

Miss Sunshine (offscreen and on the TV): Go ahead!

Mr. Grumpy: Even less than I need a mop! Goodbye!

(Mr. Grumpy slams the door shut. Knocking off Mr. Scatterbrain's hat in the process)

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): I'm not leaving you behind, Victoria!

(Mr. Scatterbrain opens the door and the monkey fetches his hat for him. Mr. Grumpy returns to his chair and resumes watching the movie)

Miss Sunshine (on the TV): Cold, cold, cold!

Miss Scary (on the TV): My slime will rule the world! And I will be-

(Mr. Scatterbrain pops up in the window holding a bottle of floor cleaner)

Mr. Scatterbrain: How about a pine-vintage floor cleaner?

(Mr. Scatterbrain pulls out a key)

Miss Scary (offscreen and on the TV): (laughs evilly)

Mr. Scatterbrain: A key to a safe?

(Mr. Scatterbrain pulls out a bag of bird seeds)

Mr. Scatterbrain: A bag of bird seeds?

Mr. Grumpy: No! No! and No! I just want to celebrate my birthday alone, watching a movie.

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): You've seen your last goo, Dementicon!

(Mr. Scatterbrain presses his face to the window so he can watch the movie as well)

Mr. Scatterbrain: I love movies.

Mr. Grumpy: I'm happy for you! Goodbye!

(Mr. Grumpy pulls down the window blind)

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): That's right, Dementicon! It's me!

(Mr. Grumpy is just starting to enjoy himself when the front door opens)

Mr. Grumpy: Oh!

(A marching band led by Mr. Scatterbrain and consisting of Mr. Bounce, Mr. Bump, Little Miss Calamity, Little Miss Daredevil, Mr. Lazy, Mr. Quiet (ironically), and Mr. Strong enter Mr. Grumpy's house playing loud music. Mr. Grumpy covers his ears because the music is too loud)

Mr. Grumpy: Crooked cucumbers!

Mr. Scatterbrain: Here you go, Mr. Grumpy! Since you didn't like any of my other presents, I brought you a marching band.

(The camera zooms in on Mr. Scatterbrain)

Mr. Scatterbrain: Because, face it! Who doesn't want a marching band on their birthday? Heh!

(The camera cuts back to an annoyed Mr. Grumpy)

Mr. Bump (offscreen and on the TV): Bring it on, Dementicon!

Mr. Grumpy: Oh! I should've just taken the mop!

(Mr. Grumpy facepalms himself. Mr. Persnickety walks onto the screen and delicately picks up the next scene)

(The next scene features Mr. Messy and Mr. Stubborn preparing Mr. Grumpy's birthday cake)

Mr. Messy: How many cakes did you say you baked, Mr. Stubborn?

Mr. Stubborn: I have never made a cake. But how hard can it be? You are going to be a good assistant, Mr. Messy

(Mr. Stubborn picks up an egg)

Mr. Stubborn: Watch and learn from a pro!

(Mr. Stubborn tosses the first egg into his other hand. Next, Mr. Stubborn picks up another egg and also tosses it into his other hand. Then, Mr. Stubborn tosses both eggs into the mixing bowl uncracked)

Mr. Messy: Uh...aren't you supposed to crack those first?

(Mr. Stubborn crushes the eggs in the bowl)

Mr. Stubborn: Absolutely not! The shell provides crunch! Now, for the baking powder.

(Mr. Stubborn pours in the entire bag of baking powder into the bowl)

Mr. Messy: Woah! That's way too much! Even I know that!

(The batter overflows the bowl)

Mr. Stubborn: Clearly you don't know a thing! Now finish mixing the batter while I get the frosting.

(Mr. Messy tries the batter)

Mr. Messy: Hmm...kind of salty.

Mr. Stubborn: It's supposed to be salty! It's a cake! Add this can of frosting to the batter.

(Mr. Stubborn puts a can of frosting into the batter without opening the can)

Mr. Messy: But...frosting goes on the outside!

Mr. Stubborn: You amateur! Hand me that cake pan!

(Mr. Messy looks through the pan)

Mr. Messy: This pan has holes!

Mr. Stubborn: What! They are so the cake can breathe!

(The “cake” is now in the pan)

Mr. Messy: I'll open the oven.

(Mr. Stubborn grabs the “cake”)

Mr. Stubborn: You will not! Everybody knows you boil a cake!

(Mr. Stubborn place the “cake” into a pot)

Mr. Stubborn: In four minutes, it will be done!

(The “cake” starts to boil)

Mr. Messy: Uh, I don't know. That doesn't look right.

(The “cake” explodes all over the place. Including the screen. The scene cuts to a cake covered Mr. Messy)

Mr. Messy: This is what I'm talking about!

(Mr. Messy shakes the cake batter off his head and the batter splatters on to the screen. Mr. Messy then wipes some of the batter off the screen)

Mr. Messy: Good and messy!

(Mr. Small and Mr. Nosey rise up in a hot air balloon to transition the scene)

Mr. Stubborn (offscreen): This stove IS CHEAP!!

(Mr. Bump is playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey but walks passed the picture of the donkey. Mr. Bump walks offscreen. Mr. Bump is heard pinning something. Mr. Bump runs away from Mr. Grumpy. It turned out that Mr. Bump pinned the tail onto Mr. Grumpy)

(The next scene begins with Mr. Bump setting up a piñata of a big wrapped in bandages)

Miss Whoops: That is a terrific piñata, Mr. Bump.

Mr. Bump: Thank you, Miss Whoops. I made it myself!

Miss Whoops: I can tell!

(Little Miss Whoops picks up a bat)

Miss Whoops: Looks very sturdy!

Mr. Bump: Uh...i-is that really necessary? You wouldn't want to break it before the party.

(Little Miss Whoops ties a bandana over her eyes)

Miss Whoops: Just point me in the right direction.

(Little Miss Whoops starts swinging the bat and Mr. Bump dodges it)

Mr. Bump: Gah! Wah!

(Little Miss Whoops swings the bat and breaks a statue of a cat)

Miss Whoops: Was that it?

Mr. Bump: Afraid not. No.

(Little Miss Whoops starts walking around while swinging the bat)

Miss Whoops: Whoops!

(Little Miss Whoops swings the bat and breaks a statue of a gnome)

Miss Whoops: Was that it?

Mr. Bump (offscreen): No.

Miss Whoops: Whoops!

(Little Miss Whoops swings the bat and breaks a birdbath)

Birds: (chirping)

Miss Whoops: Was that it?

Mr. Bump (offscreen): No.

Miss Whoops: Whoops!

(Little Miss Whoops turns around, swings the bat, and breaks a lawn chair)

Miss Whoops: Was that it?

Mr. Bump (offscreen): No.

(Little Miss Whoops swings the bat and breaks a Tiki statue)

Miss Whoops: Whoops!

Mr. Bump: No wait! Wait! Stop!

(Little Miss Whoops prepares to swing the bat at Mr. Bump and the piñata)

Mr. Bump: Gah! (grunts)

(Mr. Bump jumps off the stepladder, grabs the piñata, and sits down on the branch the piñata was hanging from)

Mr. Bump: Wah! Woah

(Buzzing is heard)

Mr. Bump: Wah!

(The screen zooms out to reveal a beehive next to Mr. Bump)

Mr. Bump: You never learn.

(Little Miss Whoops continues swinging the bat)

Miss Whoops: Ugh! Nyah!

(Little Miss Whoops hits the tree and Mr. Bump falls out of the tree)

Mr. Bump: Oh! Woah! Ow!

(The beehive falls onto Mr. Bump's head)

Mr. Bump: Ow!

(The beehive breaks open. The bees form an arrow pointing at Mr. Bump and Mr. Bump runs away)

Mr. Bump: YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUHHHHH! Oh poopity poop!

(The screen iris' out. Mr. Grumpy's Birthday Song begins with Mr. Grumpy stomping his feet in anger)

Mr. Grumpy: Oh, crooked cucumbers!

Mr. Grumpy: 🎶I don't want a fuss or birthday banners

I don't want some chatty party planners

Save your breath, I'm in no mood to hear you sing.

Oh, give me peace, give me quiet

Not some ruckus party riot!

It's a birthday! Yes, I know, but here's the thing. (Here's the thing)

I prefer my birthdays grumpy and my mashed potatoes lumpy

I can't bear the "Happy Birthday" blustering!

I don't care if you think it's wonky

Put the tail back on the donkey

Save your breath, I'm in no mood to hear you sing. (La la la la)

Oh, I don't want a fuss or birthday banners

I won't want some chatty party planners🎶

(Mr. Grumpy does a forward roll under a second cake just before it falls onto him)

Mr. Grumpy: 🎶Save your breath!🎶

(Just as Mr. Grumpy breathes a sigh of relief, a third cake squishes him. Mr. Scatterbrain peeks in from the top of the screen then pulls up the bottom of the screen to change the scene)

(Mr. Strong is shown blowing up balloons but pops them every time due to breathing in too hard. He tries three times before giving the popped balloons to Little Miss Sunshine)

Miss Sunshine: Thanks for blowing up the balloons Mr. Strong.

Mr. Strong: Oh no problem, Miss Sunshine.

Miss Sunshine: (gasp) Mr. Grumpy! Surprise!

Mr. Messy: You bet Mr. Grumpy! One homemade birthday cake!

(Little Miss Calamity comes out with a present and slips on the spilled cake causing her to bump into Mr. Messy)

Miss Calamity: Woah-oah! Oof!

(Little Miss Calamity accidentally throws the present onto Mr. Bump's head)

Mr. Bump: Ow!

Mr. Messy: Shazam!

(Mr. Messy pops out of the cake)

Mr. Grumpy: Well you might as well cut me a piece while you're in there.

(Little Miss Calamity pulls out a piece of cake with a lit candle on it and Mr. Grumpy blows it out)

Miss Calamity: What a calamity.

(Mr. Tickle's arms cover the screen)

Mr. Tickle (offscreen): (laughing)

(Mr. Tickle retracts his arms and the scene transitions to the next bumper. Mr. Bump is playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey but walks passed the picture of the donkey. Mr. Bump walks offscreen. Mr. Bump is heard pinning something)

Baby Elephant (offscreen): (trumpets)

(Mr. Bump runs away from Mr. Scatterbrain riding a baby elephant. An baby elephant that he accidentally pinned the tail onto. Mr. Scatterbrain is holding a plunger and he and the baby elephant charge at Mr. Bump. The scene fades to the ending scene with some previous happenings from the episode.

Narrator: You'd hate to miss out on the cake!

(The cake ends up falling onto Mr. Grumpy. Then the screen fades to black)

(Episode ends here)
