Do Advertisements Tell the Truth? (Est-ce que les publicités disent la vérité ? in French) is a short story about discovering the world, curiosity and telling them what they are in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It was released in May 1999, and then re-released in 2000.

Summary[]

Little Miss Brainy answers the titular question, saying: "It can't be completely false, otherwise it would be forbidden. But it's very exaggerated! They want you to believe that a new game, or a new movie, or a new dessert, is super-extra-mega awesome. And then... Meh! It wasn't that great. You didn't really need it. You spent money for nothing. Don't listen too much to what the advertisements say. Choose what you really like." while sympathizing with the reader.
