Overview[]
Do We Wear Glasses for Life? (Est-ce qu'on porte des lunettes pour la vie ? in French) is a short story about keeping clean, healthy and well in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in March 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Summary[]
- Little Miss Busy answers the titular question, saying "Not always! Many children wear glasses for a few years to take care of their eyes. If they wear them every day, it gets better. And after that... no more glasses! Myopic people have to wear glasses their whole lives. But you get used to them very quickly! And it's rather elegant, isn't it? Besides, when they're older, they can also wear contact lenses. You can't see it! Many older people wear glasses, just for reading, or all the time. Their eyes have worked their entire lives: inevitably, they're tired!" while sympathizing with the reader.
