Plot[]

The Mr. Men cause trouble and annoyance to the folks of Fjollerup, namely for Baker Crumb and Butcher Beef. Aunt Cheerful rather enjoys them. Mr. Happy sings his happy song, where he describes Butcher Beef is always grumpy and Baker Crumb complains all day. It annoys Butcher Beef enough to get Officer Panic to arrest him but there is no real crime and Mr. Happy gleefully mocks it.

When it becomes night, Mr. Nosey goes on his sniffing stroll.

Mr. Nosey proceeds to peak into the Postman Pallet's house, who laments how he sends everyone's letters but nobody ever sends letters to him, so he writes himself a letter.

Mr. Nosey goes to wake up the Lamplighter who proceeds to sing a song of his humble job.

The next day, Butcher Beef and Bakerlady Crumb panic as their entire boutique is all wrong again. The sausages are in a knot and the pastry is made of liver.

Butcher Beef, screaming as usual, kicks Officer Panic into finding the culprits, who they expect to be the Mr. Men. Officer Panic proceeds to complain to himself how much trouble the Mr. Men give him and his job and sings "Were did the Mr. Men get off to now?" (The only well-behaving person being Mr. Uppity so he is not named in the song)

Officer Panic captures Mr. Lazy and puts him into prison, much to Butcher Beef's delight.

The Mr. Men keep themselves low and do a little research while Officer Panic searches for them too. Mr. Dizzy sings about being not too bright. They sneak into Mr. Uppity's house and he becomes friends with them.

Mr. Happy reaches out to a passing by Aunt Cheerful to help them. Officer Panic comes to prison with an unbothered Lazy. Aunt Cheerful wakes up Lamplighter to help too and goes back to Uppity.

Mr. Nosey writes Postman Pallet a letter. Officer Panic and Mr. Lazy become friends, singing together.
