Synopsis[]
Little Miss Star is having a party. She's made orange cream sweets, boat sandwiches and now she's making fizzy lemonade. Ask a grown-up to help you.
Instructions[]
What You Will Need[]
- 3 lemons
- 175g of sugar
- 900ml (1.5 pints) of boiling water
- 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
What To Do[]
- Wash the lemons. Grate a thin layer of the lemon rind off. Make sure you grate all over the lemons. Mind your fingers!
- Put the grated lemon rind and sugar into a large basin or jug.
- Ask a grown-up to pour the boiling water into the jug. Stir the mixture. Leave to cool for a few minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Cut the lemons in half. Squeeze the juice out and add it to the mixture.
- Strain the lemonade to remove any bits.
- To make the lemonade fizzy, add the bicarbonate of soda. Stir well. Serve chilled.
- Enjoy it!
