Food is the thirty-third episode (first part of the seventeenth episode) of Season 1 of The Mr. Men Show.

Synopsis

A skating Mr. Bump and Little Miss Whoops give new meaning to meals on wheels and Mr. Lazy builds a reputation as the best worker at Mr. Noisy's Grill.

Plots

Mr. Quiet's Plot: Mr. Quiet was going to Mr. Bounce's Bean Burger for a glass of water but instead, he got a beanburger with no barbecue sauce/pickled peppers and a blueberry smoothie. But there was a twist on the machine, causing it to explode.
Mr. Nervous' Plot: Mr. Nervous imagines that he's in a canoe and saw a swamp monster in his imagination, but really he's making a salad and Miss Naughty struggles to put a plastic fly in Mr. Nervous' salad before he confirms on his sprout salad. Mr. Nervous gets scared because their was an olive on his salad and at the end, Mr. Tickle tickles Miss Naughty.
Mr. Persnickety, Mr. Happy, Mr. Messy, Mr. Bump and Miss Whoops' Plot: Mr. Persnickety, Mr. Happy and Mr. Messy go to the drive-thru at the Dillydale Bean Burger. They ordered a bean burger on a stick with a lemonade and a bowl of mustard for Mr. Messy. Mr. Bump is not an expert on roller skates so he accidentally bumped on Miss Whoops making the mustard spill and the lemonade landed on Mr. Persnickety's face.
Mr. Grumpy, Mr. Small and Mr. Nosey's Plot: Mr. Grumpy is ordering something from the vending machine but Mr. Small and Mr. Nosey makes him not want anything from it. He decides that he goes home and makes soup. Mr. Nosey questions what soup Mr. Grumpy will have and follows. When everyone leaves, Mr. Small goes inside the machine and takes a bite out of a liverwurst sandwich. (Deleted in the UK dub)
Mr. Lazy and Mr. Noisy's Plot: Mr. Lazy has a job at Mr. Noisy's Nut Patty Restaurant. When Mr. Noisy mentions "the monkey can do it" rule, Mr. Lazy gets a monkey named Tom and he cooks too much, and Miss Chatterbox cannot keep up with Tom. Tom quits his job, and Mr. Lazy quits as well when he realizes that he has to work every day.

Bumpers

Characters use different food for the juicer.

Mr. Messy messily juices oranges.
Mr. Strong juices a watermelon and makes a giant mess in the room.
Mr. Small and Mr. Nosey juice a single grape, not getting much juice from it, then juicing more grapes afterwards in the traditional manner; squashing them with their feet.
Miss Scary hatches a mini version of herself (In US only)

This is the second time Miss Scary creates a mini version of herself (with the orange mask on) which scares the original away (in the deleted bumper). The first time was in Inventions.
This is the second time Mr. Nervous' daydream is the beginning of a longer plot. The first was in Lake.

Dub edits

In the UK version, nut patties are called nut cutlets.
Miss Naughty calls her plastic fly a "fly" rather than simply a "bug".
In Mr. Fussy, Mr. Happy, and Mr. Messy's plot, when Mr. Happy said that they should probably get some frozen yogurt to go with some dessert, Mr. Fussy is crying. In the UK, he isn't.
In the UK dub, Mr. Nervous saying that radishes give him "terrible gas" is changed to him saying that radishes give him "terrible tummy ache".
After Mr. Lazy leaves, Mr. Noisy says "Why is it so hard to find good help these days?" in the US version, but in the UK version, he says "Who will I get to flip nut cutlets now?"

Goofs

When Mr. Nervous runs off and drops his plate with beansprouts, in the first shot they are there. In the next shot when Mr. Tickle tickles Miss Naughty, they are not on the plate anymore.
When Mr. Fussy takes off the banana peel off of the head restraint, it changes to some loose hair in the next shot.
Mr. Happy says, "Here comes our waiters", but Little Miss Whoops is female, so she should have been called a waitress.
