Gemma Almond (born 1993) is a Mr. Men contest winner and successful athlete and historian.

Involvement with Mr. Men[]

In 2001, she won Daily Mirror's "Make your own Mr. Men character" contest with her character, Mr. Cheeky, who was turned into an actual book character in honor of Mr. Men's 30th anniversary.

Where is She Now?[]

After her win, Almond became an accomplished swimmer and academic, even qualifying for the London 2012 Paralympics and setting a new British record. She earned her history degree, MA in early modern history, and PhD at Swansea University[1] and is now a historian researching how Victorians first discovered the usefulness of eyewear[2].
