Hobbies is the twelfth episode (second part of the sixth episode) of Season 1 of The Mr. Men Show.

Synopsis

Little Miss Daredevil monkeys around while performing a tightrope act; Mr. Scatterbrain's wide range of hobby kits leave Mr. Grumpy unimpressed; and Little Miss Whoops snake charming abilities have Mr. Bump scurrying.

Plots

• Mr. Bump and Miss Whoops' Plot: Miss Whoops decides to have a bee hive farm for a hobby. But Mr. Bump tries to get away from the bees as fast as he can before it stings him, but Mr. Bump trips over a hose and Mr. Bump gets injured by the bees. Then Miss Whoops takes out her cell phone and say, "Hello, Hobby World? I need a new hobby."
• Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Scatterbrain's Plot: Mr. Grumpy likes ship in a bottle hobby in Mr. Scatterbrain's Hobby Store, but Mr. Scatterbrain keeps thinking he wants something else.
• Miss Naughty and Miss Daredevil's Plot: Little Miss Naughty wants to do her monkey dance with her monkeys on Good Morning Dillydale, but then gets cancelled because Little Miss Daredevil's act on a tightrope was more amazing. Soon Miss Naughty and her monkeys vow revenge.
• Musical number: "Hobbies (Doin' It)" by Mr. Fussy.
• Miss Scary's Plot (US version only): Miss Scary has an ad for "Miss Scary's Terrifying Train Set" with a lot of scary things.
• Mr. Bump and Miss Whoops' second plot: This time, Miss Whoops takes up snake charming.But again Mr. Bump tries to get away without tripping over the hose. (But didn't see the one behind him.) Miss Whoops starts playing the recorder but a fly gets tuck and it angers the snake so much, it squished Mr. Bump so hard. Then Miss Whoops calls Hobby World again and says, "Hello, Hobby World? I need ANOTHER new hobby."

Quotes

"Oh, crooked cucumbers! That's a real ship! I was looking for a tiny little model..."

Mr. Grumpy after Mr. Scatterbrain offered him a ship building kit which was a real ship.

"Hello? Hobby World? I need a new hobby."

Trivia

• Little Miss Scary had dolls of Mr. Nervous and Mr. Bump in her train set.
• Mr. Scatterbrain's nose came off when Mr. Grumpy was still holding it.
• Little Miss Scary's video on the official Mr. Men Show website was taken from this episode. As a result, it was dubbed in the UK despite being deleted from the broadcast episode.
• Mr. Quiet, Mr. Rude, Mr. Stubborn, Little Miss Calamity and Little Miss Chatterbox are the only characters to not be present in this episode.
• This is the only episode to have two plots featuring the same characters.
• In the original version of the "Hobbies (Doin' It)" musical number found on Jared Faber's SoundCloud, Mr. Fussy says "doing it" rather than "doing hobbies". It was most likely changed due to "doing it" being a slang term for sexual intercourse.
