Little Miss

Little Miss is a series of books released as counterparts to the Mr. Men series created by Roger Hargreaves in 1981.

History

The first Little Miss characters were Little Miss Bossy, Little Miss Naughty, Little Miss Neat, Little Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Tiny, Little Miss Trouble, Little Miss Helpful, Little Miss Shy, Little Miss Splendid, Little Miss Late, Little Miss Scatterbrain and Little Miss Plump (who was later renamed Little Miss Greedy in the early 90's), all released on 1 September 1981. In 1982, Little Miss Magic was created. In 1984, he created Little Miss Giggles, Little Miss Twins, Little Miss Chatterbox, Little Miss Dotty, Little Miss Lucky, Little Miss Star, Little Miss Fickle and Little Miss Contrary.

Two years after his death in 1988, Viviane Cohen, Evelyne Lallemand, and Colette David created Little Miss Busy, Little Miss Quick, Little Miss Wise, Little Miss Tidy, Little Miss Brainy, Little Miss Stubborn, Little Miss Curious, Little Miss Fun, and Little Miss Somersault. The trio also created several Little Misses that were only released in France.

In 2003, Roger's son, Adam, took over writing the Little Miss books and created Little Miss Scary, Little Miss Bad, and Little Miss Whoops. 2011 saw the introduction of Little Miss Princess, 2014 introduced Little Miss Hug, and in 2016, Little Miss Fabulous and Little Miss Sparkle were released. Little Miss Inventor was released on 8 March 2018, and Little Miss Brave was released on 3 September 2021.

On 12 September, 2024, Little Miss Surprise was created and released.

Errors

• On the book back cover of the mid to late late 1990's print, some characters were in the wrong release order instead of the correct order, unlike the Mr. Men book cover where it has a correct release order on the back.
• Little Miss Fabulous and Little Miss Sparkle are missing from the 2018-2021 and 2021-present back covers.
• Little Miss Curious is listed twice on one of the Greek back covers.
