Synopsis

Here are two delicious fruit drinks that are fun to make and even more fun to drink! Miss Plump has tasted them both and says..."They're yummy!"

Before You Start

Do ask permission to use the kitchen first and ask a grown-up to help you. Read the recipe right through and get all the ingredients and equipment together. Put and apron on and wash your hands.

If you are using an electric blender, you must ask an adult to help you.

When you have finished, don't be like Mr. Messy and leave the kitchen a mess. Wash p and tidy everything away.

Little Miss Plump's Helpful Hint

To crush ice cubes without a mess, wrap the ice cubes in a clean cloth and put them on a chopping board. Give them a few sharp taps with a rolling pin but mind your fingers!

Instructions

Creamy Pineapple Crush

What You Will Need

• Ice crusher or a clean cloth
• Chopping board
• Rolling pin
• Mixing bowl
• Egg whisk or electric blender
• 2 tall glasses
• Small kitchen knife
• 250ml (1/2 pt) cold milk
• 75g (30z) pineapple pieces
• 50g (20z) vanilla ice cream
• 2 crush ice cubes

What To Do

1. Crush the ice cubes with an ice crusher, or as Miss Plump suggested in her helpful hint.
2. Put the crushed ice into the mixing bowl or electric blender.
3. Chop the ice cream into chunks and put with the crushed ice. Now add the milk and pineapple pieces.
4. Whisk the ingredients until they are well mixed and frothy or blend at high speed for 30 seconds.
5. Pour the mixture into two tall glasses.

Scrumptious Banana Flip

What You Will Need

• Ice crusher or a clean cloth

• Rolling pin
• Mixing bowl

• 2 tall glasses
• Small kitchen knife
• 250ml (1/2 pt) cold milk
• 1 small banana
• 2 teaspoons honey
• 1 egg
• 2 crush ice cubes

What To Do

2. Put the crushed ice cubes into the mixing bowl or electric blender.
3. Slice the banana and put with the crushed ice. Now add the egg, honey, and cold milk.
4. Whisk the ingredients until they are well mixed and frothy or blend at high speed for 30 seconds.
5. Pour into two tall glasses.
