Overview[]
Little Miss Pretty's Colours (Les couleurs de madame Coquette in French) is a story in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in March 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Plot[]
Little Miss Pretty lives in Prettyville, where everyone is very fashionable, even the animals! In Prettyville, the mother birds wear makeup and decorate their nests with lace. And in Miss Pretty's house, everything is there. For example, if she decides to wear her little green and yellow ribbon, then everything must be green and yellow. Gloves, shoes, curtains, tablecloths, rugs, even cushions, placemats, picture frames, and garbage bags must be green and yellow. And she gets the opportunity to plant yellow daffodils on her green lawn! But that's not all! Today is the day she decided to wear yellow and green clothes. For breakfast, she eats egg yolks and green beans. It looks charming on the plate! After that, she dresses up and walks around, meets Little Miss Twin and Little Miss Twin, and tells them that she loves their little blue ribbons. The twins reply in unison that they also love the blue ribbons on their heads. Miss Pretty has an idea and wants to repaint the front of the house blue. As soon as she has said that, as soon as Miss Pretty has finished repainting, Little Miss Brilliant comes and exclaims: "Looks amazing, there are blue stains in your hair, on your shoes and on your little ribbon! Is this the start of a new fashion?" Feeling a little embarrassed to be seen looking so disheveled, Miss Pretty hurries home to get changed. Meanwhile, her well-known little friend, Mr. Mischief, mischievously looks at the fresh paint on Miss Pretty's house. He opens a big bag of confetti, turns on his big fan and... poof! All the confetti sticks to the paint. Miss Pretty leaves the house and exclaims at the sight of the beautiful façade covered with tiny colorful dots: "Oh! We have to hurry!" And she goes home. So what will she do now? Remove the confetti piece by piece? Repaint the house? Oh no! She sews thousands of colorful dots onto tiny bows, bags, shoes, gloves, curtains, sheets, rugs, and even the toilet paper she finds! So flirty!

Trivia[]
- This is one of those stories where one male character is present in, although mentioned.
- This is the second time Little Miss Pretty had repainted her house just like in her story. And what's more is that she also wears green and yellow through out the whole story, and the same applies to everything she has in her house.
- What Miss Pretty said to the Little Miss Twins about their little blue bows is considered far too inappropriate, as the Little Miss Twins are only children, which would have resulted Miss Pretty get in trouble for being somewhat obsessed over children, as this is one of the many times that sexual elements are featured in the series with another reason to why it was released in France only and not in the UK as stories like these sounded very gross for younger readers. Also, Hachette no longer tolerates any mature-themed content in children's books due to humor like these could easily upset their audience demographic.
