Little Miss Scary's appearance in The Mr. Men Show mostly reflects her book appearance, albeit minor changes. Notable changes include being much larger (about the size of the rest of the cast), and her spikes (except one removed) are longer. She is also a darker shade of red.
Miss Scary loves fear and generally anything considered frightening. She hosts her own horror-themed show titled Late Night Scare Fest. She dislikes people copying her scariness. She lives next to Mr. Nervous, her favorite target to scare, in a gloomy manor surrounded by perpetual storm clouds and leafless trees. She has a collection of a variety of masks which she uses to scare the other Mr. Men and Little Misses, though she can get scared by them as well.
When she scares others with her masks, she often gives a terrifying screech. She has a scary snore, according to Mr. Messy, as seen in Sleep. She loves it when Little Miss Magic teleports. Although she often snorts when she laughs, her low, raspy, witch-like voice was provided by Susan Balboni in North American dubbed airing, while the Southeast English accent was provided by Jo Wyatt in the UK version, being replaced by Alex Kelly in the second season.
She is first seen in "Physical".

- Little Miss Scary, Mr. Rude, and Little Miss Whoops are the first Adam Hargreaves-created characters to appear in animated form, starting with the show.
- Miss Scary has been scared 17 times throughout the series. Specifically, she has been scared in "The Dark", "Inventions", "Snow", "Gardens", "Night", "Food", "Outer Space", "Arts and Crafts", "Game Shows", "Gifts", "Fruit", "Skyscrapers", "Post Office", "Trees", "Machines", "Eyeglasses", and "Pests" (albeit offscreen).
- She had a bit of a southern accent in early episodes of the first season.
