Summary[]
Little Miss Splendid lives in a mansion with a golden bathtub and thinks she is better than everyone else. When she goes to town and sees a new hat in the window of a shop that she simply must have, she buys it. When she's walking home, her friends ask her if she wants to take the bus she refuses. It starts to rain and it ruins her new hat, but she did feel better afterwards as she went home and watched herself in the mirror.

- This is the first episode for several things:
- The first appearance of Little Miss Splendid.
- The first episode not to have Mr. Quiet, Mr. Mischief and Little Miss Shy appear since their debut appearances.
- This is Mr. Daydream's last appearance in the Classic Series.
- In the Icelandic dub, when Mr. Happy and Mr. Daydream are coming home from town on the bus and they see Little Miss Splendid all soaking wet, Mr. Happy's dialogue doesn't match the lip movements when he mentions Little Miss Splendid looking like a splendid sight.
- A small bit of audio is missing from the later releases of the British English version from when Little Miss Splendid is in the store, starting with the 35th Anniversary DVD release. This also happened to Little Miss Bossy. The dialogue remained in the Sunday Times promotional DVD, however.
Differences Between the Book and the Cartoon[]
- Little Miss Splendid doesn't talk to the butler, gardeners, or driver in the book version.
