(The episode begins with a wide shot of Forget-Me-Not Cottage)
Narrator: It was one of those beautiful summer mornings.
(The camera zooms in on Forget-Me-Not Cottage)
Narrator: That everybody likes to see. In Forget-Me-Not Cottage, the owner was fast asleep.
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful asleep in his bed)
Narrator: Mr. Forgetful.
(Mr. Forgetful smiles as he sleeps)
Narrator: He was having a dream.
(The camera zooms in towards Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Then, the sun, streaming through the windows, woke up Mr. Forgetful.
(Mr. Forgetful wakes up and stretches in his bed)
Mr. Forgetful: (yawns) Oh. (sighs)
Narrator: He yawned. (grunts) Stretched his arms.(grunts a sigh)
(Mr. Forgetful starts thinking)
Narrator: And tried to remember what he'd been dreaming about.
(The camera starts zooming out from Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: But, of course, he couldn't. Because Mr. Forgetful can't remember anything!
(The camera stops zooming out and Mr. Forgetful looks up)
Narrator: Anything at all!
(Mr. Forgetful scratches his head)
Narrator: Ever!
(Mr. Forgetful stops scratching his head. The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful carrying a towel. The camera zooms out from Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Mr. Forgetful got out of bed,
(Mr. Forgetful starts walking towards the left of the screen)
Narrator: And went to wash his face. But he'd forgotten where the bathroom was.
(The scene transitions to the doors of a wardrobe. The camera zooms out to show the wardrobe fully in the frame)
Narrator: And do you know what he did? He walked,
(The wardrobe door closest to the left of the screen opens up and reveals Mr. Forgetful inside the wardrobe)
Narrator: Into the wardrobe!
Mr. Forgetful: Oh! Oh, silly me!
Narrator: He...he giggled to himself.
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful looking at himself in the mirror and smiling a big grin. The camera zooms out from Mr. Forgetful's reflection)
Narrator: Eventually, of course, Mr. Forgetful found his bathroom and washed his face.
(The camera zooms in on Mr. Forgetful's mouth)
Narrator: He even remembered to brush his teeth.
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful holding a slice of white bread)
Narrator: Then he went downstairs,
(The camera zooms out from the slice of bread)
Narrator: To make himself some breakfast.
(The camera keeps zooming out to show Mr. Forgetful standing in his kitchen)
Narrator: He toasted some bread.
(The camera cuts to the toaster, which has smoke coming out of it)
Narrator: But, of course, he forgot all about it.
(Two slices of burnt toast spring out of the toaster)
Narrator: And it was burnt.
(The camera cuts over to an egg on a spoon. The egg has a crack in it because it was hard boiled. The camera zooms out from the egg)
Narrator: He boiled himself an egg.
(The camera keeps zooming out to show Mr. Forgetful holding the spoon and looking at the egg in disappointment)
Narrator: But, of course, he forgot about it and it was hard boiled.
(The camera cuts to the burnt toast on the table. The camera zooms out from the toast until Mr. Forgetful is shown sitting at the table eating the burnt toast and hard boiled eggs)
Narrator: Mr. Forgetful had burnt toast and hard boiled eggs for breakfast everyday.
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful walking down the road carrying a letter in his left hand. Mr. Forgetful is walking to the right of the screen and the camera follows him)
Narrator: It was such a lovely day, Mr. Forgetful decided to walk down to the village to buy a stamp for a letter he'd written three weeks ago but forgotten to post.
(The camera moves in closer to Mr. Forgetful's face as he continues walking)
Narrator: So off he set.
(The camera cuts over to Forget-Me-Not Cottage to show that Mr. Forgetful left the door open. The camera zooms out from the door)
Narrator: And did he remember to shut the door of Forget-Me-Not Cottage behind him?
(The camera stops zooming out)
Narrator: Of course he didn't.
(The scene transitions to the post office. Mrs. Parcel, who works the front counter at the post office, is looking at Mr. Forgetful with a big smile on her face)
Mrs. Parcel: Morning, Mr. Forgetful.
Narrator: Said Mrs. Parcel at the village post office.
Mrs. Parcel: What can I do for you this fine morning?
(The camera cuts over to Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: Oh! I n-n-need...I'd like...um, uh, um, uh. Oh! Ooh!
(Mr. Forgetful realizes that he forgot what he came to the post office for)
Mr. Forgetful: (smacks his lips) Ooh I...
(The camera zooms in towards Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: I forgot.
Narrator: He said.
(The camera zooms in more towards Mr. Forgetful's face. Then, the camera cuts over to Mrs. Parcel looking at Mr. Forgetful)
Mrs. Parcel: A stamp?
Narrator: Suggested Mrs. Parcel, looking at the letter Mr. Forgetful was carrying.
(The camera cuts back to Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: Yes! Yes! Yes, a stamp! Yeah, that
(The camera cuts closer to Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: That was what I was trying to remember not to forget! (chuckles)
(The camera zooms out from Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Said Mr. Forgetful.
(The camera cuts over to Mrs. Parcel and the camera zooms out)
Narrator: Mrs. Parcel smiled. She was used to Mr. Forgetful.
(The camera cuts back to Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Mr. Forgetful had some more shopping to do,
(The camera zooms in closer to Mr. Forgetful as he realized that he forgot what else he had to shop for)
Narrator: But could he remember what it was,
(Mr. Forgetful puts his hand under his mouth as he tries to think)
Narrator: He was supposed to remember not to forget to shop for?
(The camera zooms in closer to Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Of course he couldn't. So,
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful walking down the road to the left side of the screen)
Narrator: He decided to go home.
(The scene transitions to show a policeman standing in the middle of the road. The camera zooms in slowly towards the policeman)
Narrator: On his way home, Mr. Forgetful met the village policeman going the other way.
(The camera stops zooming in)
Policeman: Morning Mr. Forgetful.
Narrator: Said the policeman.
Policeman: Can you give Farmer Fields a message for me on your way home, please?
(The camera cuts over to Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Farmer Fields had a farm not far from Forget-Me-Not Cottage.
(The camera cuts back over to the policeman)
Policeman: Tell him there's a...a sheep loose in the lane.
Narrator: Said the policeman.
(The camera cuts over to a worried Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Poor Mr. Forgetful. He'd never had a message to remember in his life before.
(The camera zooms in on Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: There's a sheep loose in the lane.
Narrator: He said to himself.
(The camera stops zooming in)
Narrator: Trying to remember the message as he hurried along.
Mr. Forgetful: There's a sheep loose in the lane. There's a sheep loose in the lane. There's a sheep loose in the lane. There's a sheep loose in the lane.
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful walking down the road to the left side of the screen)
Narrator: Mr. Forgetful repeated the message over and over to himself.
(Mr. Forgetful starts getting close to the farm)
Narrator: Eventually, he arrived at the farm and found Farmer Fields.
(The camera cuts over to Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: M-Mr. Fields!
Narrator: He said.
Mr. Forgetful: There's...there's a goose asleep in the rain!
(The camera cuts to Mr. Forgetful talking to a baffled Farmer Fields. The camera zooms in on both of them)
Narrator: Farmer Fields couldn't believe his ears.
(The camera cuts over to Farmer Fields)
Farmer Fields: A goose asleep in the rain!?
Narrator: Repeated Farmer Fields slowly.
Farmer Fields: But I don't have any geese. And, anyway, it isn't raining. You sure that was the message?
(The camera cuts over to Mr. Forgetful rubbing his hands together in embarrassment upon realizing his mistake)
Narrator: Poor Mr. Forgetful. (smacks his lips) He got it all wrong!
(Mr. Forgetful realizes that he forgot the actual message)
Narrator: And he couldn't remember how to get it all right!
(The camera starts zooming in towards Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Simply couldn't remember at all!
(Mr. Forgetful starts rubbing his hands together again as the camera continues zooming in towards him)
Narrator: So off he went home.
(The screen blurs as the scene starts transitioning)
Narrator: Poor Mr. Forgetful.
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful walking down the road to the left side of the screen. The camera zooms out from Mr. Forgetful. Once the camera is fully zoomed out, the scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful walking down the road to the right side of the screen. Mr. Forgetful is looking down at the ground feeling extremely sorry for himself. The camera zooms out from Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: Mr. Forgetful walked away from Farmer Fields’ farm,
(The camera stops zooming out)
Narrator: Feeling very sorry for himself.
Mr. Forgetful: Oh, I do wish I could, I could remember things.
Narrator: He thought.
(The camera moves in closer to Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: He was so busy feeling sorry for himself, that he didn't see that there was a sheep loose in the lane.
(The camera cuts to the sheep loose in the lane. The camera zooms in on the sheep. The sheep becomes wide-eyed the closer the camera moved towards the sheep)
Narrator: He bumped into it.
(Mr. Forgetful trips over the sheep)
Narrator: And fell over.
(Mr. Forgetful lands on his head and tumbles onto his bottom)
Mr. Forgetful: Bother!
(The camera cuts to the sheep)
Sheep: Baa.
(The camera cuts back to show Mr. Forgetful sitting on his bottom next to the sheet)
Mr. Forgetful: How silly! Letting a sheep loose in the lane.
(The camera zooms in towards Mr. Forgetful as he remembers the message)
Narrator: And then, he remembered the message!
(The camera cuts to Mr. Forgetful running down the road to the right side of the screen. The camera follows him)
Narrator: He jumped up and ran back around the lane to the farm as fast as he could.
(The camera zooms in closer to Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: M-MR. FIELDS! MR. FIELDS!
Narrator: He called as he ran into the farmyard.
Mr. Forgetful: Mr. Fields! There's a very...oh! There's a-there's a goose asleep in the rain.
(The camera cuts to a disappointed Mr. Forgetful. The camera zooms in towards him)
Narrator: He'd forgotten again.
(The camera cuts to Farmer Fields and the camera zooms out from him)
Narrator: (smacks his lips) Mr. Fields scratched his head.
(The camera cuts back to Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: Come with me! Come on!
Narrator: Cried Mr. Forgetful.
(The camera cuts to the open lane and starts zooming in towards it to make it look like Mr. Forgetful is dragging Farmer Fields down the lane)
Narrator: And pulled Farmer Fields back along the lane until they came to the sheep that was loose.
(The camera cuts back to Mr. Forgetful. Mr. Forgetful is closer to the left side of the screen)
Narrator: There it is!
Narrator: Cried Mr. Forgetful.
(The camera cuts over to the sheep and zooms in towards it. The camera stops zooming in as the sheep looks at the camera. The camera then cuts back to Mr. Forgetful)
Mr. Forgetful: A what...a whey...a goose!
(Mr. Forgetful makes a puzzled face upon realizing that he'd gotten it wrong despite the sheep being in front of him. The camera moves in towards Mr. Forgetful's face)
Narrator: And then he stopped.
(The camera cuts back to Farmer Fields and Mr. Forgetful. Mr. Forgetful is a little embarrassed over getting it wrong despite the sheep being in front of him)
Farmer Fields: Oh dear, you silly boy. That is not a goose, is it? That's a sheep.
(The camera cuts over to Mr. Forgetful blushing)
Narrator: He blushed.
(The camera cuts back to Farmer Fields and Mr. Forgetful. Mr. Forgetful is now smiling)
Farmer Fields: I think,
Narrator: Smiled Farmer Fields.
Farmer Fields: That you're the goose!
(Farmer Fields starts chuckling inaudibly but the screen still shakes)
Narrator (while laughing): And then he chuckled.
(The camera cuts over to the sheep and zooms in towards it)
Narrator: Even the sheep,
(The camera continues zooming in towards the sheep as it laughs inaudibly)
Narrator: Started to laaaaugh.
(The camera stops zooming in)
Narrator: It was so funny!
(The camera cuts back to Farmer Fields and Mr. Forgetful as they continue laughing. The camera zooms in towards them)
Narrator, Mr. Forgetful, and Farmer Fields: (laughing)
(The scene transitions to Mr. Forgetful sitting down in an armchair in Forget-Me-Not Cottage. Mr. Forgetful's eyes are closed)
Narrator: Later that day, Mr. Forgetful sat down,
(Mr. Forgetful opens his eyes)
Narrator: In his favourite armchair,
(The camera starts zooming out from Mr. Forgetful)
Narrator: In Forget-Me-Not Cottage to think about what a funny day it had been.
(The camera stops zooming out and Mr. Forgetful giggles inaudibly)
Narrator (while giggling): And he...he giggled and giggled the more he thought about,
Mr. Forgetful: That goose asleep in the...uh...in the...mmm heh...the...the...that goose asleep in the...in the train?
(Mr. Forgetful realizes that he'd forgotten the whole story)
Mr. Forgetful: Oh dear. (chuckles)
(The camera moves closer to Mr. Forgetful and Mr. Forgetful frowns in disappointment over forgetting what happened that day)
Narrator: He'd forgotten again.
(The episode ends here)
