Overview[]
Mr. Funny's Hat (Le chapeau de monsieur Rigolo in French) is an Arts & Crafts activity in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in May 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Summary[]
Do you know Mr. Funny's hat? It's not a fascinator, nor a bonnet, nor a head covering. Even less a cap or a beret. It's a funny hat!
You'll Need:[]
- Caterpillar
- Adhesive tape
- Strip of blue paper
- Yellow flexible cardboard
- Scissors
- White rigid cardboard
Instruction Guide[]
- Draw a large circle and a smaller one in the center. You can use plates to help you make even circles.
- Cut out the entire large circle and the small one, leaving strips all around.
- Cut a large strip of yellow cardboard the same length as the circumference of the small circle and about 15 cm high.
- Glue this strip to form a cylinder.
- Place the cylinder on the circle and glue the small strips inside. Add the strip of blue paper.
- Draw and cut out petals from the white cardboard.
- Staple the petals to the caterpillar and glue a yellow flower on top to make the heart. Place the flower on the hat. To be allowed to wear a hat, you have to be a little funny!
