(The episode begins with a chocolate cake on a kitchen table. The camera zooms out from the cake)

Narrator: Mr. Greedy liked to eat.

(Mr. Greedy comes in from the right side of the screen and walks towards the cake)

Narrator: In fact, Mr. Greedy loved to eat.

(Mr. Greedy stops walking upon reaching the table and starts licking his lips)

Narrator: And the more he ate, the fatter he became. And the trouble was, the fatter he became, the more hungry be became. And the more hungry he became, the more he ate.

(Mr. Greedy starts eating a huge slice of the cake)

Narrator: And the more he ate, the fatter he became. And so it went on.

(Mr. Greedy continues eating the cake. The scene transitions to Mr. Greedy's house)

Birds (offscreen): (tweeting)

(The camera zooms in on Mr. Greedy' house)

Narrator: One morning, Mr. Greedy awoke rather earlier than usual.

(The scene transitions into Mr. Greedy's bedroom. Mr. Greedy is fast asleep)

Mr. Greedy: (snoring)

(Mr. Greedy is shown dreaming of bananas, oranges, apples, and grapes)

Narrator: And, as usual,

(Mr. Greedy is shown dreaming of sandwiches)

Narrator: He'd been dreaming about food.

(Mr. Greedy opens his eyes and wakes up)

Narrator: And that,

(Mr. Greedy sits up in his bed)

Narrator: Made him wake up feeling hungry.

(Mr. Greedy starts licking his lips)

Narrator: So Mr. Greedy got up,

(The scene transitions to Mr. Greedy sitting at the breakfast table with butter, toast, sugar, milk, cornflakes, boiled eggs, and other breakfast items on the table. Mr. Greedy licks his lips in anticipation)

Narrator: Went downstairs, and had the most enormous breakfast. This is what Mr. Greedy had for his breakfast.

(The camera shows two slices of toast in a rack)

Narrator: Toast - two slices.

(The camera shows Mr. Greedy pouring out a packet of cornflakes)

Narrators: Cornflakes - one packet.

(The camera pans down to show a bottle of milk)

Narrator: Milk - one bottle.

(The camera shows a bowl of sugar)

Narrator: Sugar - one bowlful.

(The camera shows three slices of toast in a rack)

Narrator: Toast - three slices.

(The camera shows three boiled eggs)

Narrator: Eggs - three, boiled.

(The camera shows four slices of toast in a rack)

Narrator: Toast - four slices.

(The camera shows a dish of butter)

Narrator: Butter - one dish.

(The camera shows a jar of marmalade)

Narrator: Marmalade - one pot.

(The camera shows five slices of toast in a rack and one on the table)

Narrator: Toast - uh...

(The camera zooms in on the slice of toast that's on the table)

Narrator: SIX slices!

(The camera cuts to Mr. Greedy finishing his breakfast. Mr. Greedy is rubbing his tummy in satisfaction)

Mr. Greedy: That was a...a delicious breakfast! Now, I wonder what would be nice to have for lunch?

(The scene transitions to Mr. Greedy going out for a walk)

Narrator: He decided, in order to work up an appetite for lunch, he would go for a long walk.

(Mr. Greedy is shown walking to the right of the screen. The scene transitions to another area where Mr. Greedy is walking to the left of the screen)

Narrator: That morning, Mr. Greedy walked, and walked, and walked.

(The scene transitions to Mr. Greedy walking towards the right of the screen again)

Narrator: Then,

(Mr. Greedy starts walking towards a cave)

Narrator: He discovered a cave.

(Mr. Greedy stops in front of the cave)

Mr. Greedy: That's funny.

Narrator: He thought.

(The camera zooms in on Mr. Greedy)

Mr. Greedy: I don't remember seeing that there before.

Narrator: Mr. Greedy, being...

(Mr. Greedy walks into the cave)

Narrator: A curious sort of a fellow, decided to explore.

(The screen turns pitch black)

Narrator: He entered the dark cave.

(The camera zooms in. Only Mr. Greedy's eyes are visible in the cave)

Narrator: Inside,

(The camera shows some large light brown stairs. Only the first stair is shown. Mr. Greedy walks towards the stairs)

Narrator: He discovered some giant steps leading upwards.

(Mr. Greedy starts climbing the stairs. The scene transitions to show the large, enormous staircase. The camera pans upwards towards the top of the stairs)

Narrator (struggling to breathe): They were...very steep...and very difficult...to climb. But with much...huffing and puffing...Mr. Greedy...climbed up and up.

(Mr. Greedy reaches the top of the stairs and walks towards an extraordinarily large door)

Narrator: At the top of the steps, Mr. Greedy came to a door. It was, without a doubt...

(Mr. Greedy looks up at the door)

Narrator: The biggest door Mr. Greedy had ever seen.

(The scene transitions to a small opening in the door. The camera zooms out from the crack in the door)

Narrator: And it wasn't quite shut. So, Mr. Greedy,

(Mr. Greedy starts squeezing his way through the crack in the door)

Narrator (struggling to breathe): Squ-squeezed himself.

(Mr. Greedy makes his way through the crack and starts walking around the room)

Narrator: Through the crack in the door.

(The scene transitions to a wide shot of the huge, enormous room Mr. Greedy had entered)

Narrator: And there before him, was an amazing sight.

(The camera zooms in on the room's floor)

Narrator: The biggest room in the world! The floor was as big as a field.

(The camera pans around to show the huge, gigantic, table)

Narrator: The table in the middle of the floor was as big as a house.

(The camera zooms out to show the huge, gigantic chairs)

Narrator: And the chairs around it were as high as trees.

(The camera cuts back to Mr. Greedy)

Narrator: Mr. Greedy felt very small. And then he sniffed.

Mr. Greedy: (sniffs)

(The camera zooms out)

Narrator: Coming from somewhere up on top of that gigantic table was the most delicious foody smell that Mr. Greedy had ever smelled.

Mr. Greedy: (sniffs)

Narrator: Mr. Greedy sniffed again, and then decided that he must get up on to that table.

(Mr. Greedy starts climbing up the table leg)

Narrator (struggling to breathe): So, he began to climb...

(The camera zooms in on the top of the chair)

Narrator (struggling to breathe): Up the leg...of the enormous chair.

(The scene transitions to the table top)

Narrator (struggling to breathe): It was very difficult...

(Mr. Greedy starts walking on top of the table)

Narrator (struggling to breathe): But eventually,

(Mr. Greedy stops for a moment)

Narrator: Mr. Greedy stood on the table.

(Mr. Greedy walks over to giant salt and pepper pots)

Narrator: Everything was larger than life.

(Mr. Greedy stands next to the giant salt and pepper pots)

Narrator: The salt and pepper pots were both as big as pillar boxes.

(The camera zooms in on Mr. Greedy and Mr. Greedy walks towards an enormous fruit bowl with larger than life fruit)

Narrator: There was a bowl of fruit on the table.

(Mr. Greedy is shown trying to lift one of the gigantic oranges)

Narrator: And Mr. Greedy tried to lift one of the oranges.

(Mr. Greedy falls down with the orange on top of him. The camera cuts over to four green apples. One of which has a small bite taken out of it)

Narrator: And Mr. Greedy, being Mr. Greedy...

(The camera zooms in on the bite Mr. Greedy took from the apple)

Narrator: Took a bite out of one of the apples.

(Mr. Greedy continues walking on the table)

Narrator: Then, he looked around.

(The camera cuts to the other side of the table. On the other side, there is a gigantic plate full of gargantuan sausages, potatoes, and peas)

Narrator: Over on the other side of the table,

(The camera zooms in on the plate)

Narrator: Stood the source of that delicious smell. A huge, gigantic, colossal plate!

(The camera zooms in on the gigantic sausages and pans to the right)

Narrator: And on the plate, huge, gigantic, colossal sausages the size of pillows.

(The scene transitions to show the gigantic potatoes and zooms out from them)

Narrator: And huge, gigantic, colossal potatoes the size of beachballs.

(The scene transitions to show the gigantic peas and pans to the left)

Narrator: And huge, gigantic, colossal peas the size of cabbages.

(Mr. Greedy is shown eating one of the giant peas)

Narrator: Mr. Greedy hurried across the table towards the plate, and, being Mr. Greedy, began to eat.

(Footsteps are heard as a large black shadow engulfs the screen from the left corner of the screen)

Narrator: Suddenly, a shadow fell across the plate.

(A huge hand is shown picking up Mr. Greedy)

Narrator: And Mr. Greedy found himself being picked up by a giant hand and looking into the eyes...

(Mr. Greedy becomes scared)

Narrator: Of a real live giant.

(The camera zooms in on the eyes of the Giant. The screen shakes as the Giant talks)

Giant: AND WHO....

Narrator: Thundered the Giant.

Giant: ARE YOU?

Narrator: Mr. Greedy was so frightened that he could only manage to squeak his name.

(The camera cuts to Mr. Greedy)

Mr. Greedy: Mr...Mr. Greedy.

Narrator: He squeaked. The Giant laughed a laugh as loud as thunder.

(The screen shakes)

Giant: (laughs loudly) GREEDY BY NAME AND GREEDY BY NATURE.

Narrator: He bellowed

Giant: WELL, I THINK MR. GREEDY,

(The camera zooms in on the eyes of the Giant)

Giant: THAT YOU NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON.

(The screen shakes)

Giant: (laughs loudly)

(Mr. Greedy is shown sitting in the middle of the gigantic plate eating all the food on it)

Narrator: And what a lesson it was. The giant made Mr. Greedy eat up everything on that huge, enormous, gigantic, colossal plate.

(All the food, except for a pea and a half, fade away. Mr. Greedy frowns and stops eating)

Narrator: When he had finished, Mr. Greedy felt very ill indeed. As if he would burst at any minute.

(The scene transitions to Mr. Greedy standing at the edge of the table looking at the Giant)

Giant: Now,

Narrator: Said the giant in a much quieter voice.

Giant: Do you promise never to be greedy again?

(The camera zooms in on Mr. Greedy)

Mr. Greedy: Oh y-oh yes.

Narrator: Moaned Mr. Greedy.

Mr. Greedy: I promise!

(The camera zooms out to show Mr. Greedy and the Giant)

Giant: Very well.

Narrator: Said the Giant.

Giant: Then I'll let you go.

(The camera zooms in slowly)

Giant: (laughs loudly)

(The scene transitions to the floor of the room. Mr. Greedy walks to the right of the screen past the Giant's foot)

Narrator: Mr. Greedy climbed down from the table, and went out the door. Feeling very fat.

(The scene transitions to Mr. Greedy walking to the right of the screen out the door)

Narrator: And do you know, from that day to this, Mr. Greedy kept his promise. And do you know something else as well? Mr. Greedy doesn't look like he used to do anymore.

(The scene transitions to a white background. The camera zooms out to show Mr. Greedy is now very thin)

Narrator: He now looks like this. Which, I think suits him a lot better, don't you?

(The camera zooms in towards Mr. Greedy)

Narrator: So, if you know anybody who's as greedy as Mr. Greedy used to be...

(The camera zooms out)

Narrator: You know what to tell them, don't you?

(Loud footsteps are heard. A large shadow is partially casted over Mr. Greedy)

Narrator: Beware of giants!

(Mr. Greedy covers his face in fear and the screen shakes)

Giant (offscreen): HO-HO-HO-HO!! A-HA-HA-HA-HA! THEN I'LL LET YOU GO!! (laughs)

(The episode ends here)
