Mr. Happy on Holiday is a story from the 1986 Annual.
Story[]
One year, Mr. Happy was at home trying to figure out where he could spend his summer holiday. He was reading travel books but nothing seemed right or managed to give Mr. Happy a final decision. One afternoon, the telephone rang and Mr. Happy heard Mr. Uppity on the other end. Mr. Uppity had invited Mr. Happy to his new Holiday Camp. The Holiday Camp was the perfect place for someone to relax at. Complete with three swimming pools, six tennis courts, and even a fun fair!
Mr. Happy was sold on the idea of spending his holiday at Mr. Uppity's Holiday Camp and, after packing a suitcase, took a train to the destination. Upon arrival, Mr. Uppity showed Mr. Happy to his bedroom. Despite it being next to Mr. Noisy, Mr. Noisy's room was soundproofed to guarantee everyone else peace and quiet. The next day, Mr. Happy saw Mr. Busy trying out all three swimming pools without a break. Mr. Happy also found Little Miss Scatterbrain carrying a cricket bat. Not for a game of cricket, but for a game of tennis! Mr. Silly, Mr. Small, Walter the Worm, and Little Miss Naughty were also there and for two weeks, Mr. Happy enjoyed his time at Mr. Uppity's Holiday Camp! Almost all of Mr. Happy's friends were there, all except one!
Little Miss Late was late as usual! She didn't arrive at the Holiday Camp until mid-December!
