Mr. Mean hasn't a Penny Left is the 26th episode of the third season of Mr. Men and Little Miss. It was first broadcast on 15 March, 1997.
Plot[]
Mr. Mean loves his money but he also wants some friends too. While he's out to go shopping for food for a get together, Mr. Nosey decides to see what's going on at Mr. Mean's house. And Mr. Nosey being Mr. Nosey stumbles upon a crate. a crate that is full of Mr. Mean's fortune. Little Miss Magic happens to pass by and quickly hides them with a flourish of her magic wand.
Some time later, Mr. Mean returns to have lunch with some friends. Mr. Lazy arrives on Mr. Slow's steamroller which destroys Mr. Mean's house under the horrified gaze of its owner, who briefly faints at the thought of how much he'll spend to rebuild it and then completely passes out when he learns that his money has vanished!
But, thanks to Little Miss Magic and the other Mr. Men characters, everything is repaired in the twinkling of an eye and Mr. Mean even finds his loot, which has luckily been hidden in the cellar. Mr. Mean, grateful for everything his friends had done, even gives each of his friends a coin as a thank you!

- Mr. Slow's moustache changes sizes throughout the episode.
- As the Mr. Men laugh in the end, Little Miss Magic can be heard laughing with them despite the fact she left seconds ago.
- When Mr. Mean says he has no friends, there is a hole in the wall behind him with a few bricks covering it and the wall itself is darker colored, but in a close-up shot of Mr. Mean, the hole is completely covered up with more bricks and the wall is lighter colored.
