Overview[]
Mr. Noisy's Secret (Le secret de monsieur Bruit in French) is a story in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series, and it is the first issue to include a magnetic figurine.
It was released in 1997, and then re-released in 2000.
Plot[]
Mr. Noisy is really loud. For example, when he is snoring, you can hear him from a very far distance. This morning, Mr. Noisy was in bed, but the alarm clock started to ring, and Mr. Noisy immediately woke up. Today, he had an appointment to meet his friend, Little Miss Loud. Therefore, he walks towards the hills, stomping his feet, carrying a big suitcase.
Little Miss Loud was already there with her big suitcase and answered him by shouting "Hello!" When they met, they both opened their big suitcases. It was not a contest of silence, but it proves to be a contest of noise. This year, Miss Loud grabbed the bass drum, and Mr. Noisy, like her, grabbed the cymbals, harmonica, horn and trumpet.
When he warned everyone to cover their ears, they have made so much noise, and the hills and the city shook for everything that the two have made the deafening noise. Surprised, Mr. Noisy and Little Miss Loud listen. Next year, they will have the honor of meeting again in the big annual competition. Now, who wants to participate in the annual contest? The whisper contest or the silence contest? No... the noise contest of course!
