(The episode begins with the camera panning to the left of the screen towards a keyhole)

Narrator: Mr. Nosey liked to know about everything that was going on. He was always poking his nose...

(An eye is shown through the keyhole looking through it towards the viewers)

Narrator: ...other people's business. Mr. Nosey was the sort of person who, if he came upon a locked door, couldn't resist looking through the keyhole to see why the door had been locked.

(The camera pans to the left until the keyhole is no longer in the frame)

Narrator: Mr. Nosey was the sort of person who...

(The camera continues panning to the left until a letter to a man named Mr. Brown appears in the center of the frame)

Narrator: ...if he found an unopen letter addressed to somebody else...

(As soon as the camera stops panning, a nose puts it onto the letter)

Narrator: ...sould simply have to open it to find out what was inside.

(The scene transitions to a man reading a newspaper)

Narrator: Mr. Nosey was the sort of person who...

(The camera pans to the right)

Narrator: ...if he was sitting, reading his paper on a train...

Narrator: ...sitting next to him.

(After reading the man's newspaper, he resumes reading his own paper. The scene transitions to a green person walking along the path to the right of the screen)

Narrator: Naturally, as you might well imagine, Mr. Nosey was not very popular. People did not like the way in which Mr. Nosey would peak and pry into their affairs. They did not like it at all.

(The scene transitions to show a window from the inside of a building. The camera quickly zooms out to show the window in full)

Narrator: But did that stop Mr. Nosey peeking and prying?

(Mr. Nosey pulls himself up and looks through the window from outside)

Narrator: It did not.

(Mr. Nosey looks around to see what's going on. The scene transitions to show a tall house)

Narrator: Mr. Nosey lived in a funny, tall, thin house in a place called Tiddletown.

(The camera zooms out to show Tiddletown at the bottom of the hill where Mr. Nosey's house is)

Narrator: The people of Tiddletown decided that Mr. Nosey was becoming much too nosey.

(The camera cuts back to show three citizens of Tiddletown: Mr. Chips, Mrs. Washer, and Mr. Brush)

Narrator: And so, they held a meeting to discuss what to do about him.

(The camera zooms in on a carpetner)

Mr. Chips: We must find some way of stopping him being so nosey.

Narrator: Said old Mr. Chips, the town carpenter.

(The camera cuts over to a laundry worker)

Mrs. Washer: That's right!

Narrator: Said Mrs. Washer, who ran the Tiddletown laundry.

Narrator (overlap and talking quietly): ...opened it and peeped in.

(Mr. Nosey starts walking inside until his nose was partially in the doorway)

Mr. Brush (offscreen): (whistling the Mr. Men theme)

(The sound of something splashing is heard)

Narrator: SPLASH! Went a very wet paintbrush right on the end of Mr. Nosey's nose.

(The scene transitions to show Mr. Nosey's nose covered in bright red paint. Some of the paint drips off the end of Mr. Nosey's nose. Mr. Nosey is not happy at all)

Mr. Brush: Oh dear! I am so sorry! (chuckling)

(The camera zooms in on Mr. Brush)

Narrator: Said Mr. Brush, who was painting the inside of the door.

(The scene transitions to Mr. Nosey painfully removing the bright red paint off his nose with a scrubbing brush)

(The camera pans until it reaches the end of the fence)

Narrator: Creeping very quietly to the end of the fence.

(The scene transitions to the end of the fence)
