Overview[]
Mr. Skinny (Monsieur Maigre a une bonne idée in French) is a rhyme-in-joke in the I Grow Up with the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in April 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Lyrics[]
"I have an idea!" said Mr. Skinny to himself.
"I'm going to take advantage of Easter to eat lots of chocolate eggs. Maybe I'll finally gain a little weight!"
Actually, Mr. Skinny's diet isn't unpleasant!
What's more, it's working! Mr. Skinny is getting bigger, bigger, bigger.
He's getting rounder, rounder, rounder. "You'd be even more handsome with a ribbon on your head!" said Miss Trouble.
And here comes Mr. Strong, licking his lips.
"But no!" cries Mr. Skinny. "I'm not an Easter egg!"

- This is the second time Mr. Skinny had gained weight in the series, as the first one was when he and Miss Greedy went on a diet.
- Because the titular character had took the tendency to eat a lot of chocolate eggs, this is also another reason why Issue #53 was released to commemorate the day of Easter 1999 [4th of April], given that the story, rhymes and the last two short stories to discover the world with Mr. Nosey all respectively relate to said holiday.
