Plot[]
It mostly follows the same plot. It was published in France in 1998 then released globally in 2014.
Differences Between the Book Version & the TV Version[]
- Little Miss Dotty isn't in the book version.
- Mr. Slow isn't shown at the starting line
- Little Miss Naughty is shown helping Farmer Fields in the TV version. In the book version, she just shows up to cause trouble. Although, both versions do have her regretting her actions and helping out with the mashed potato sale in the end.
- Farmer Fields is unnamed
- The book version has the potato spill as an intentional joke. In the TV version, it was unintentional.
- Mr. Snooty gains a hatred for mashed potatoes at the end of the book version.
- Mr. Nosey nicknames Mr. Slow "Mr. Fast" in the TV version. In the book version, he calls Mr. Slow, "Mr. Not-So-Slow."
