Penguin Group (originally Penguin Books) is a British trade book publisher and part of Penguin Random House

History[]

Founded on 30 July, 1935 by Allen Lane with his brothers Richard and John, as a line of the publishers The Bodley Head, only becoming a separate company the following year. Penguin Group (USA) Inc. was formed in 1996 as a result of the merger between Penguin Books USA and the Putnam Berkley Group after Penguin acquired Putnam Berkley from MCA.

Involvement with Mr. Men[]

Penguin Group published Mr. Men and Little Miss stories in the US from 1996 to 2013.
