Rainy Day is a Season 1 episode in The Mr. Men Show.

It's a rainy day in Dillydale, and the bad weather is putting some of the Mr. Men and Little Misses in a bad mood. A leaky roof gets the better of Mr. Per(s)nickety and his wool sofa and Mr. Nervous' daydream leaves him drenched - yet the storm can't dissuade Mr. Stubborn from picnicking with Mr. Bump.

  • Mr. Bump and Mr. Stubborn's Plot: Mr. Stubborn wants Mr. Bump to go on a picnic in the park, but Mr. Bump told him he cancelled because it was raining. Of course, Mr. Stubborn kept saying it wasn't raining.
  • Mr. Nervous's Plot: Mr. Nervous imagines he's sent into an ark but is really trying to catch Mr. Rude's bus.
  • Mr. Lazy's Plot: Mr. Lazy is too lazy to clean his teeth. So he decides to use his toothbrush machine that runs on water. (Not in the UK)
  • Mr. Scatterbrain's Plot: Mr. Scatterbrain buys an umbrella from Miss Helpful. But gets blown in a sewer pipe that took him to the beach.
  • Mr. Persnickety and Mr. Strong's Plot: Mr. Strong tries to fix Mr. Persnickety's roof before it ruins Mr. Persnickety's wool sofa.

  • Miss Calamity sings a song called Dillydale is Dancing in the US version, and Miss Helpful sings in the UK version.
  • In Mr. Persnickety's house, there's a picture of a lady that looks like Mr. Persnickety. According to The Mr. Men Show Blog, it was found out it was his mother and Mr. Clumsy's aunt.
  • Mr. Strong's Video is in this episode.
  • Mr. Strong took Mr. Pernickety's roof again when he is Mr. Fussy Bad Weather
  • Goof: When Mr. Strong breaks part of the roof, he sees Mr. Persnickety who is on the first floor. Mr. Persnickety's house has two floors and maybe a basement. (Mr. Messy has a basement shown in Washing and Drying.)
  • In the UK, Mr. Stubborn says "There it is! I win!". This is omitted in the US. Mr. Persnickety
  • Mr. Nervous's plot is a reference to Noah's Ark
  • In the UK version, Mr. Stubborn calls Go Fish by its British name, Happy Families.
  • In the song, Mr. Rude's parade float from Parade is shown. (Also, Rainy Day comes about four episodes before Parade.)
  • Also, in the song, the part with Miss Sunshine and Mr. Rude's horn is a reference to the opening scene of Music.
  • Miss Sunshine hands Mr. Stubborn an umbrella (though she does seem saddened when he declines).
  • Little Miss Sunshine is very angry in this episode.
  • Mr. Tickle doesn't really appear in this episode but he makes a cameo appearance by pulling down to the next scene after the song Dillydale is Dancing ends with Mr. Rude relaxing under the rainbow.
