Mr. Men Wiki

Shoes is the sixth episode (second part of the third episode) of Season 2 of The Mr. Men Show.

Synopsis[]

Finding the perfect shoes is never easy and the Mr. Men and Little Miss know that perfectly! Mr. Bump tries on shoes at Mr. Small's shop; Mr. Stubborn helps Mr. Messy track down a missing trainer, and Mr. Fussy directs the Dillydale version of "Cinderella"!

Plots[]

  • Mr. Nosey, Mr. Small, Mr. Bump and Miss Sunshine's Plot: Mr. Nosy and Mr. Small run their own shoe shop, but have all the wrong choices of shoes for Mr. Bump!
  • Mr. Noisy's Plot: Mr. Noisy ads his new "Shoe-a-torium" store where everyone has good taste for it. (Not in the UK)
  • Mr. Messy, Mr. Stubborn and Mr. Quiet's Plot: Mr. Messy has lost his shoe in the woods, but a bear lurks around and he must find it before he notices the bear! (Deleted in Japan)
  • Mr. Fussy, Mr. Grumpy, Mr. Tickle, Miss Naughty, Miss Scary, Miss Chatterbox and Miss Giggles' Plot: Mr. Fussy is the director of Little Miss Cinderella, and Mr. Grumpy is cast as Prince Charming to his chagrin. The play doesn't go as planned when Mr. Grumpy quits mid-show and Mr. Fussy has to play the part himself and the show goes without a hitch until Miss Scary scares everyone off the stage.

Bumpers[]

Miss Naughty places a pair of slippers filled with canned whipped cream in front of the door.

  1. Mr. Fussy wears them, and is disgusted by it.
  2. Mr. Messy spots it, and decides to eat the cream off of the slippers, which Miss Naughty is disgusted.
  3. Miss Daredevil doesn't pay attention about the slippers, and blasts up to the sky which causes the cream to splatter all over Miss Naughty.

  • Mr. Strong is absent completely absent throughout the episode.
  • This is the another episode whose plot is deleted in an international dub. In this episode, Mr. Messy's plot is deleted in the Japanese dub.
  • Mr. Bump saying "Mr. Rude!" is the same audio used in "Clean Teeth".

Remarks[]

  • Mr. Fussy's feet are long and pointed in this episode, unlike in Beach where they're shorter and curved.
  • Mr. Messy's feet no longer have toes. Now they look like normal Mr. Men feet.

Goofs[]

  • When Miss Naughty tells Mister Grumpy to put the glass slipper on her foot, she is still wearing the same shoe, but when Miss Scary scares everyone, Miss Naughty's shoe vanishes.

Real-World References[]

  • Mr. Messy says b-b-bear b-b-bear b-b-BEAR! BEAR! BEAR! to the tune of the William Tell overture.
  • The mask Miss Scary wears is from "Phantom of the Opera".

Dub edits[]

  • In Mr. Grumpy and Mr. Fussy's plot, Miss Chatterbox (who plays Little Miss Cinderella) says "Um...I hate to interrupt, wicked stepmother, but I'm pretty sure that slipper would fit me," in the UK, she says "Excuse me, but wicked stepmother, I hate to interrupt" then the rest of the sentence is left intact.
