Boats is the ninth episode (first part of the fifth episode) in Season 1 of The Mr. Men Show.
Synopsis[]
Little Miss Whoops shows off her sea legs to a less than impressed Mr. Quiet; Mr. Lazy discovers new lands aboard Mr. Scatterbrain's singing boat; and Mr. Happy's synchronized swimming turns silly on the deck of the S. S. Dillydale.
Plots[]
- Miss Whoops, Mr. Quiet, Mr. Happy and Miss Sunshine's Plot: Little Miss Whoops and Mr. Quiet are on Good Morning Dillydale and they talk about the safeties of sailing but Miss Whoops accidentally unties the knots for the main sail and spinnaker. While she continues to speak, she bumps Mr. Quiet out of the boat twice. Sick of being with Miss Whoops, Mr. Quiet walks from the ocean to the studio and gives Mr. Happy and Miss Sunshine the life preserver.
- Mr. Nervous' Plot (Only in the US): Mr. Nervous imagines he's lost in the middle of the ocean surrounded by sharks, but he is really in a pool with Miss Naughty wearing a shark fin.
- Dance Video: Mr. Strong dances while Mr. Rude sings.
- Mr. Lazy and Mr. Scatterbrain's Plot: Mr. Lazy goes for a short ride in Mr. Scatterbrain's boat but ends up in the South Pole with musical penguins that live in the South Pole, seals and polar bears (that don't live in the South Pole).
- The Boat's Plot: The Mr. Men and Little Misses are having a good time until a storm makes them presumably and exactly sick. (probably caused by Mr. Tickle as he was tickling a couple people before the storm, though he says "Don't look at me!")
- Mr. Stubborn and Miss Calamity's Plot: Mr. Stubborn (Captain Stubborn) and Miss Calamity an iceberg hits and sinks the ship (S.S Stubborn), but then Mr. Scatterbrain saves her life by offering her a spot in his and Mr. Lazy's boat. Everyone from Mr. Scatterbrain and Mr. Lazy's plot continues their singing with Mr. Stubborn (who escaped the sinking on a floating chair) telling them to stop singing.

Trivia[]
- Mr. Stubborn does the tune of It's A Small World in this episode while on his floatable chair.
- Captain Stubborn's big cruise ship hitting an iceberg and sinking is a reference to the Titanic as it sank when it hit an iceberg.
- Incidentals can be seen in rescue floats. This is one of the rare times incidental characters can be seen. 3 of them resemble Mr. Greedy, Mr. Grumble, and Mr. Worry.
- This marks the only time that Mr. Noisy wakes up Mr. Nervous from his daydream.
- This is also the only time Mr. Lazy has a daydream like Mr. Nervous.
- This is the only time an object is a part of the title in the title card.
Dub edits[]
- Upon seeing Mr. Scatterbrain's can opener, Mr. Lazy asks if he brought any creamed corn. This was changed to jellied eels in the dub.
- When the scene shows the passengers being rescued from the lifeboats, Mr. Fussy can be heard saying "Hurrah, we're rescued!", which is omitted in the UK version.
- When Little Miss Calamity agrees to come into Mr. Scatterbrain's boat, "you bet I would" is changed to "indeed I would".
- The term "backup singer" is changed to "backing singer", with Joey D'Auria providing original dialogue for it.
- As the canoe floats away, Mr. Stubborn shouts "Stop singing!" which is changed to "Cheap singing!" in the dub.
Errors[]
- At the end of the boat's plot, Mr. Happy, Mr. Nosey, and Mr. Quiet disappear at the end when the ship lists to starboard.
- When the S.S Stubborn sinks, the stern is shown to be sinking and tilting into the water, which is impossible as the front would sink first
