Overview[]
Were Grown-Ups Once Little Ones? (Est-ce que les grands étaient des petits, avant ? in French) is a short story about questions and to understand why in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in May 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Summary[]
Mr. Tall answers the titular question, saying: "Yes! All adults were once children. Even your parents! Even your grandparents! Everyone was small before they became adults. First we were babies. Then we were toddlers. Then we were big kids. Then we become adults, that is, adults. After that, we keep getting older all the time. That means that the people born before you are always older than you, and the people born after you are always younger. When you are the same age as your parents, your parents will be the same age as your grandparents. In between, there will be a lot of babies born!" while sympathizing with the reader.
