Why Aren't There Any Zebras in France? (Pourquoi n'y a-t-il pas de zèbres en France ? in French) is a short story about discovering the world, curiosity and telling them what they are in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It was released in May 1999, and then re-released in 2000.

Summary[]

Mr. Snow answers the titular question, saying: "They'd be way too cold! BRRR! Zebras live in Africa, where it's hot. They have wide open spaces to run very fast. They find the food they like to eat. All animals are the same: they live in a climate, and if you move them, they don't do well. Some like the desert, others the forest. Some the sun, others the rain. Some the mountains, others the plains. There are even some who love the snow, like me!" while in empathy with the reader.
