Overview[]
Why Do Cows Have Horns? (Pourquoi les vaches ont-elles des cornes ? in French) is a short story about discovering the world, curiosity and telling them what they are in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in April 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Summary[]
Mr. Crosspatch answers the question, posed in the title, saying: "BANZA! CRACK! BOOM! Horns are useful in fighting! Right! Right! Horns are mainly used for defense. But animals also use them to dig into the ground and push aside branches that get in their way. Do you know any other animals that have horns? Goats, rams, bison, deer, chamois, gazelles, buffalo... Rhinos have horns on the tip of their nose! And giraffes have some small horns under the skin of their skull!" while empathizing with the reader.
