Why Do We Burp?

Overview[]

Why Do We Burp? (Pourquoi est-ce qu'on fait des rots ? in French) is a short story about keeping clean, healthy and well in I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It was released in April 1999, and then re-released in 2000.

Summary[]

Even though Mr. Greedy rarely burps, he answers this, saying "Burping happens especially when you've... Oh! sorry!... eaten a lot, and... Oh! sorry!... swallowed too quickly. It creates gas in the stomach and... Oh! sorry!... it explodes and... Oh! sorry!... it comes out of the mouth making an unpleasant noise. When you feel a burp coming on, quickly put your hand over your mouth! And then say... Oh! sorry!" while sympathizing with the reader.
