Why Shouldn't We Tell Fat People They're Fat? (Pourquoi ne faut-il pas dire aux gros qu'ils sont gros ? in French) is a short story about learning manners in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It was released in 1997, and then later re-released in 2000.

Summary[]

Little Miss Greedy answers the titular question by saying: She doesn't think that being fat is a defect, but that most people think being thin is prettier, so telling a fat person they're fat will make them cross, even if they're not bothered by being fat, what's more, there are people who are fat because of medical conditions, so it wouldn't be nice to bring it up to them. All whilst sympathizing with the reader.
