Summary[]
Mr. Noisy answers the titular question, shouting out: "NOISE MAKES YOU DEAF! YES! NOISE DAMAGES THE EARDUM, THE OSSILES, AND THE COCHLEA. SINCE IT'S ALL VERY SMALL, IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO REPAIR! EVEN IMPOSSIBLE, SOMETIMES. ARE YOU GOING TO TELL ME THAT MUSIC ISN'T NOISE? BUT IT IS NOISE! THE MOST DANGEROUS THING FOR YOUR EARS IS YOUR WALK-IN MUSIC PLAYER. IF YOU HAVE ONE, DON'T WEAR IT TOO OFTEN! AND DON'T TURN IT ON TOO LOUD! YOU'RE GOING TO TELL ME IT DOESN'T BOTHER ANYONE BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE CAN HEAR? AND WHAT ABOUT YOUR EAR? DOES IT COUNT FOR BUTTER?" while sympathizing with the reader.
