Overview[]
Why Shouldn't You Put Just Anything in the Washing Machine? (Pourquoi ne faut-il pas mettre n'importe quoi dans la machine à laver ? in French) is a short story about learning manners and how to live together in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in April 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Summary[]
Mr. Dizzy answers the question posed in the title, saying "Why don't we put in some old, dirty chewing gum, or a scribbled notebook, or a rag full of paint, or a bag of marbles covered in sand? I tried! My notebook turned into balls of paper! The paint stained my clothes! The chewing gum and marbles clogged the water pipe of the washing machine! And the washing machine overflowed! And the kitchen was flooded! Oh, my! You should only put dirty clothes in the washing machine." while sympathizing with the reader.
