Why Shouldn't You Rock Back and Forth on Your Chair? (Pourquoi ne faut-il pas se balancer sur sa chaise ? in French) is a short story about learning manners and how to live together in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It was released in March 1999, and then re-released in 2000.

Summary[]

Little Miss Helpful answers the titular question, saying "On the contrary! Rock on your chair! What magnificent disasters that'll cause! BOOM! You'll fall backwards! THWACK! Right into the cupboard! KAY! KAY! KAY! And onto the dog's tail! CRASH! Breaking the chair, of course! SPLATCH! And knocking over your plate! OOH! You didn't hurt yourself, did you?" while sympathizing with the reader.
