Overview[]
Why Shouldn't You Run While Crossing the Street? (Pourquoi ne faut-il pas courir en traversant ? in French) is a short story about learning manners and how to live together in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in May 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Summary[]
Mr. Rush answers the titular question, saying "Are you in a hurry? No! Then why run? It's very dangerous. At an intersection, two streets intersect. When you want to cross one, you look at the color of the traffic light. If it's green, the cars are stopped: you can go! But cars coming from the other street have the right to turn. They must let pedestrians cross. But for that to happen, drivers have to see the pedestrians. If you run, the driver sees you just when you're in front of his car. He doesn't have time to stop. It's an accident! You can't hang around when you're crossing either! Because you have to get there before the traffic light turns red again. You have to cross calmly and without stopping."

Trivia[]
- Add some trivia and lore! Why not stick about the characters, or the community (like a story/activity/rhyme has references, is based on something or things similar), not about the story/activity/rhyme itself.
