Why Shouldn't You Swallow Toothpaste? (Pourquoi ne faut-il pas avaler le dentifrice ? in French) is a short story about keeping clean, healthy and well in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.

It was released in May 1999, and then re-released in 2000.

Summary[]

Little Miss Greedy answers the titular question, saying: "YUM! YUM! Toothpaste is good! What's your favorite flavor? Mine is strawberry! I could eat tubes and tubes and tubes of toothpaste... Alas! You shouldn't. Toothpaste is like soap for your teeth. Do you eat soap? I hope not! Toothpaste contains chemicals that aren't good for the inside of your body. The flavor is just to make it taste better. When you've brushed your teeth with toothpaste, you have to spit it out." while sympathizing with the reader.
