Overview[]
Why Shouldn't You Touch the Bathtub Faucets? (Pourquoi ne faut-il pas toucher aux robinets de la baignoire ? in French) is a short story about learning manners and how to live together in the I Grow Up with the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
It was released in May 1999, and then re-released in 2000.
Summary[]
Mr. Bump answers the titular question, saying "When you turn on the bathtub faucets, water runs. Okay? Cold water runs from the blue faucet. Hot water runs from the red faucet. Do you already know that? I'd like to repeat one thing to you: the water running from the red faucet is sometimes really VERY HOT! Sometimes it's BURNING! And then... OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! Getting burned is serious. It hurts a lot, and lasts a very long time. If that ever happens to you, don't try to turn off the faucet. Get out of the bath and call your parents." while sympathizing with the reader.
