Yūki Ono (小野 友樹, Ono Yūki, born 22 June 1984) is a Japanese voice actor and singer who dubs in anime shows and video games. He was represented by Atomic Monkey and is now a freelancer. His major roles are: Josuke Higashikata in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, Taiga Kagami in Kuroko's Basketball, Zenkichi Hitoyoshi in Medaka Box, Kaname Tsukahara in Kimi to Boku, Masayuki Hori in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun and Ishisaki Jun in Ace of Diamond and in 2018 Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu.
Biography[]
During his high school years, Ono aimed to become a professional soccer player and at one point was scouted by the Shimizu S-Pulse. Unfortunately, he stopped playing in the third year as a result of bone fracture.
During his years in university, Ono becomes a fan of Kishō Taniyama. In addition to meeting the voice actor in person at an anime event, this inspired him to pursue the same career.
He graduated from Shizuoka Prefectural Shizuoka High School and Graduated from Waseda University's School of Sports Science.
In April 2006 , he joined Atomic Monkey and attended the training school as a first-year student, making his voice acting debut as an alien in the TV anime " Keroro Sergeant ''. He graduated from the training school at the same time as Waseda University .
The first named role he auditioned for was Joshua in 2007's Saint October .
Back then, when he was attending various training schools during my university days, I was surprised to see that a character my age who was acting in a class where current students were shown examples was very good at dubbing, and after finishing it, he said to him, "You're amazing!"
There, they hit it off, exchanged email addresses, and met several times . After that, that person was in the final audition for the role of Joshua in ``Saint October'', and at that time I thought "Yes'', and as mentioned above, I was selected for the role of Joshua.
Although he felt bad for that person, he realized that the world of voice actors was an amazing place to be, suddenly having to fight against someone he thought at the time was "no match for him.'' .
He played the role of Kyosuke Oniyagi in "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's '', which was also selected through an audition , and it is said that there was a connection between him and "Saint October'' as it was produced by the same sound director .
It is said that the role of Kyosuke Oniyagi was difficult at that time in his career . In the main story of ``Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's'', there is a ``Onyanagi arc'' that lasts for two months, and for Ono, the encounter with Onyanagi was said to be a big deal.
He played the role of Kazuichi Arai in `` Kimi ni Todoke '', and it was miraculous that he passed the audition. At that time, through encounters with people like Daisuke Namikawa , Yuichi Nakamura , Mamiko Noto , Miyuki Sawashiro, Yuko Sanpei, and Aya Hirano , he says that his mindset changed in many ways.
The biggest thing was meeting Namikawa, and after he started thinking about Namikawa, something changed . He says that if he hadn't realized something important when he was cast in Kimi ni Todoke, his career as a voice actor might have been different .
After that, the number of works he appeared in increased, and there were many roles with names, and the genres expanded from children's, men's, to women's .

In August 2011, Ono formed the voice acting unit You-Tak (ゆーたく, Yū-Taku) alongside voice actor Takuya Eguchi. The two had also worked on various Drama CD productions and events. In January 2013, it was renamed to You-Tak II (ゆーたくII, Yū-Taku Tsū).
In March 2013, he was awarded for "best actors in supporting roles" in the 7th Seiyu Awards.
On April 24, 2013 , while continuing the activities of "Team Yutaku", they made a new major debut as " Yutaku II".
On June 22, 2015 , he made his solo CD debut from Lantis .
In April 2016 , he served as the MC of "Oha Suta" for each day of the week along with Natsuki Hanae , and served for one and a half years, graduating in September 2017.
